Solution:
Bae Systems were originally looking for Dual voltage equipment with portability an important feature. The company trial tested equipment from 7 other suppliers and the TPS-Fronius came out top on the various trials.
Jim Gray, Principal Welding Engineer, Bae Systems, continues "the equipment was purchased for outfit steelwork to allow portability and to reduce downtime when tracing gear at the start of each shift. It was commenced by initiating a welding training programme for engineers and electricians to allow them to progress their job on pipe hangers and electrical cable tray hangers; after evaluation of a number of portable MMA sets, it was felt that the Fronius kit was best suited for this type of application."
